This will be a practical course with plenty of opportunities for everyone to take part and ask questions. The course will include some basic theory at the start of the day, before moving on to cover the following:
- the different types of lime
- choosing sands and aggregates
- different ways of mixing mortars and plasters suitable for your project
- pointing
- plastering
- limewashing
- limecrete
Please bring your own lunch and snacks, as well as work clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty! We will provide the equipment, personal protective equipment, and all the materials you will need.
