This scheme is designed for young people aged between 13 and 17.
It is completely free and voluntary. For at least one day a month, typically on a Saturday or Sunday, the Young Rangers meet to work alongside our team and join us in discovering more about the beautiful and diverse landscape we are lucky enough to call home. The sessions vary, with a mixture of conservation tasks, fun adventure activities, outdoor learning and visiting historical attractions. These are just some of the things we will get up to:

The aim of the scheme is to help young people understand, value, and contribute to conserving, enhancing, and enjoying the National Park’s special and distinctive natural and cultural qualities. We will often work alongside other organisations to incorporate a variety activities and expand the Young Ranger’s experience. The scheme has so many benefits for the young people including these:

The Young Ranger scheme is based throughout the National Park, with sessions being organised in various locations every month. Young Rangers will need to meet as a designated location and be picked up at the end of the session.

Every session will have a cap on sign-ups therefore, we ask that you notify us as soon as possible if the young person cannot attend, to open the opportunity out to others.
