Expression of interest window now open

The Eryri National Park Authority is pleased to announce that the next Expression of Interest (EOI) window for the Ffermio Bro programme has now opened.

Ffermio Bro supports farmers to work together on practical, locally led projects that deliver environmental, cultural and landscape benefits across Eryri, Llŷn and Môn. We are now inviting applications until the end of January 2026 and welcome interest from new and existing groups.

Who can apply?

We are particularly keen to receive applications from:

Groups of farmers – Collaborative groups have the strongest chance of succeeding in securing funding. Working together across neighbouring farms allows projects to deliver wider landscape benefits and achieve the greatest impact. Groups are not tied by any formal or legal mean, and all agreements are made individually to each farm.

Groups based on local themes – We encourage farmer groups to develop projects that respond to local priorities or issues relevant to their area. Examples of suitable themes include:

  • Water Quality Improvements
e.g. fencing watercourses, rainwater management, creating ponds, or improving livestock watering systems.
  • Habitat Management
e.g. restoring traditional hay meadows, improving grassland structure, woodland management, upland management by grazing with native cattle, creating wildlife corridors with the overall aim of connecting local habitats.
  • Species-Focused Work
e.g. supporting key species such as chough, curlew, or pine marten through targeted habitat interventions.

If you are unsure which theme best fits your area, our Ffermio Bro officers can help you explore options and develop a strong proposal. We advise farmers to set up the groups as you know the local contacts, and we can develop a theme-based approach together.

Why apply?

  • Support to deliver practical on-farm improvements.
  • Support towards achieving the Universal Actions of SFS.
  • Tailored advice from local Ffermio Bro officers.
  • A collaborative approach that strengthens local farming communities
  • Projects that benefit both your land and the wider landscape of Eryri, Llŷn and Môn.
