Standing at over 3,000 feet, Yr Wyddfa is the highest mountain in Wales and undoubtedly Eryri’s most popular summit.

Yr Wyddfa is an iconic mountain known throughout the world, an integral part of a rich and vibrant community, and home to many Welsh mountain farms.

Over 600,000 people visit Yr Wyddfa annually, either by hiking or by train, making it the busiest mountain in the UK. This popularity creates many challenges, and it is essential that we manage it sustainably to protect the environment, culture, and local communities, both now and for future generations.

As part of managing Yr Wyddfa sustainably while also providing a high-quality visitor experience, it is vital that we gather as much data as possible from those who have visited. This data will be used to help the Park plan ahead, create policies, and develop services for residents and visitors.
