Plas Tan y Bwlch occupies a superb position overlooking the valley of the river Dwyryd in the heart of the National Park. No part of the Park is more than an hour’s drive away and some of the most spectacular scenery in Britain is within easy reach.
From the heights of Snowdon, Cadair Idris and the bleak moors of Migneint, the hills stretch down through secluded valleys with their wooded slopes and placid lakes down to the sea. Among them are many places of great botanical, geological and historical interest.
At this historic manor you are able to book accommodation and events such as weddings and baby showers. We also cater for groups as well as vocational and educational course bookings.

The History
Plas was the Welsh home of the Oakeley family, important quarry and land owners in the area. They were the successors of the Evans and Griffith families who had chosen this beautiful spot to make their home, and who built up a large estate in the area in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
